This is all that remains of the Black Forest cake I made for Christmas. We had a great day with our friends: Heather, Connie, Fred, and Scott. Sure was nice to win that hockey game!

Christmas Soap

What a delightful Christmas Eve! Long after Josh fell asleep, I was in the kitchen — wired. I’m not sure what gave me all that energy but I got a great deal accomplished. For some strange reason, I felt like making cinnamon almond shea butter soap!

So, I got to work. I didn’t finish until 4:00 this morning! Here are some pictures of the process:

Dreams of a White Christmas

December 23, 2007|Comments (none)

For those of us who live in the southern states, a white Christmas truly is just a dream. As Christmas approaches, I find myself longing for snow. Both Josh and I grew up in areas where snow, ice, or some combination of both could be expected this time of year. Here is a clip from my favorite Christmas movie, Holiday Inn (1942), which starred Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, Marjorie Reynolds, and Virginia Dale. Enjoy!
