And there was a lot of cheesiness. A lot. After spending Wednesday seated on comfy red recliners by a fireplace in the clean winter light through a large picture window facing snowy hillsides and blue mountains, we were charged for adventure. The countryside whispered sweet nothings to us from under a liberal dusting of snow and big skies worthy of being featured behind The Duke astride a golden palomino. We took the back roads which wound through the cattle-dotted hills and crossed streams busily tripping over fallen logs to the quilt shop in the historic Wharf District of Staunton, Virginia.
