The Razor Family Farms Challenge

April 14, 2008|Comments (7)

We really care about where our food comes from and make it top priority to buy whatever produce we cannot grow from local markets. Because we do not live in a farm community — we must grow and put away a lot of food. We’ve purchased chickens, ducks, guineas, and turkeys so we can afford to pull our support from industrial agriculture. We’ve worked and learned, read and dreamed of ways to make a difference in the world. We’ve posted our labors and discoveries for others to see.

We ask that you join us — not just read the blog (although that is very nice, too). Encourage others and challenge them to really think about the source of their food and the consequences of ignoring industrial agriculture. Then inspire them use their spending power (the vote we don’t have to register for) to let the world know that it is never okay to mistreat animals, disregard public safety, or push small family farms under. Spread the word. Join us and support sustainable agriculture.

Click on the chicken and find out more about the Razor Family Farms challenge. Get the code and post the button on your blog.

——————UPDATED——————–

Okay, there are problems with the code. No, actually the code is fine it is Word Press that is dreadful. I’m contacting my technologically advanced friend, Carl, to help me fix this annoying problem. The code, while working just fine for me — is absolutely horrible to others. Beastly things, computers! I’m sorry, friends! I was so excited to launch the button! Yuck! You can, however, save the image to your computers and link it to this site if you would like. It won’t show up on your sidebar that way but you can can post about it.

WordPress folks: save the image, load it into your post then hyperlink it to the challenge page (http://razorfamilyfarms.com/blog/?page_id=348)

I’ll try to get this fixed very soon. Promise.

Again, I am so sorry! And Jayedee — you are just about the sweetest thing that ever there was.  Check out her blog, folks!  She’s amazing!

Okay, Lacy, I have a question: I went about last summer trying to find a place to buy local produce and coudln’t figure out where to. What’s the secret? How do I find local produce? I called one of the “Farmer’s Markets” and was told there produce came from “all over”. I brought produce there and it was delicious, but I was never sure how “local” it was. Can you help educate me and anyone else who is just as clueless?
