Those eyes and silky ears! The soft cotton-candy downy baby fur! Those itty-bitty hooves! What could possibly be better than a baby goat?

How about three baby goats? That’s right! Suzanne, one of my Nubians, is the proud mama of triplets! The babies are half Nubian and half Saanen. When we bought our Saanen buck to breed with our Nubian and Nubian/Alpine does, we hoped to produce lovely dairy goats.

The kids (born yesterday) could not be more beautiful. They have the Nubian ears and Saanen coloring.  Who could resist that sweet face (see above)?  Seriously, these little heart-melting darlings should be invited to Peace Talks amongst world leaders as mood-setting devices.

My neighbor’s children came over to meet the new babies. Talk about instant love! Nothing says spring like baby goats, t-shirt weather, and overjoyed goat-cradling human children.  These happen to be the best Easter gifts imaginable.

Let me apologize in advance, the next few posts will likely be a series of baby goat photos with simple captions. I’m currently in love and just can’t get enough of the triplets. While my time would probably be better spent packing our belongings to prepare for upcoming move (location still unknown), one can scarcely blame me for getting a bit sidetracked.

Any name suggestions?

OMG! Those kids (people & goat) could not be more cute. Take a few minutes to enjoy them because packing will catch up soon enough.

Absolutely darling! Are they boys? girls? both? I hope they are all girls. And the other kids are almost as darling as yours. What sweet pictures. You made my morning.

doelings? bucklings? truly beautiful – having Nubians has convinced me they have the prettiest kids. are you bottle feeding one? we usually do with triplets but your goats are specifically milk goats so might make enough for 3

C’mon you gotta have princess bride names :*)

Buttercup and Inigo are great names for goats!

Congratulations, somehow I missed that she was expecting. I agree that this exciting event takes priority over packing. Picking names will be fun and I am sure Tio will want to put his ideas in the mix. Do you know the sexes of the kids?
