Dawn - Wow, they are loud. We don’t have those here, or rather, they aren’t commonly raised. Maybe it’s the noise;-).
Christine - I had no idea!!! I guess you never have to worry about over-sleeping, huh?? LOL
Hayden - too funny! Last fall I visited my *egg & chicken source* and asked if I could let my dog out of the car briefly (on leash). Farmer Liz was fine with it, but the guinea’s weren’t. It was amazing to see them ganging up and menacing, pushing closer and closer – and ohh, the NOISE! Both of us got back in the car and beat a hasty retreat.
They sure are tasty though!
Simple Livin' gal - They are CRAZY loud but the tick population in our area has taken a HUGE hit. We’re too grateful to really complain about the guineas!
