You Belong Among the Wildflowers

During the stressful tumultuous months since we became accidental foster parents, I’ve relied heavily on my stolen moments of camera time. I needed to capture the beauty around me and climb into it… escape. Photography became that outlet.
Amazingly, my husband understood completely. Of course, I didn’t realize just how much he understood until last night when he walked through the house with a large cardboard box and said nothing more than, “It’s a surprise.”
Horrible.
I can’t stand surprises. They absolutely eat me up. And I was all ready to twist his arm until he finally revealed the details of the surprise. Unfortunately, I was also in the middle of food prep for the family and trying to answer questions from our case worker (who had stopped by for a visit).
By the time the dishes were finished, the children were getting ready for bed, and things were slowing down — I’d nearly (okay, not really) forgotten about the surprise. Actually, I’d already convinced myself that he’d brought home some ducklings or something.
Nope.
He took my hand and pulled me to our room. Once there, he placed the surprise on the quilt and smiled.
You can just imagine my delight:
In a word: wow.
I just had to share.

aawww, Lacy! Not only is Josh downright handsome, he’s also amazingly sweet and thoughtful! And a KEEPER, just as YOU are! I have a feeling he already knows how much FUN you’re going to have with this camera! You should open an ETSY shop in the future just for the awesome pictures you are going to take!
