As I watched my youngest girl trot happily out to the chicken coop to muck the thing, I couldn’t help but shout with joy. She arrived knowing every dance move from the rap videos on MTV and all of the lyrics (even the scary ones). Now she hums “If You’re Happy and You Know It” under her breath while feeding chickens and helping me stir batches of laundry detergent. But does that a farm kid make? Read more
Good Lord Be Praised! We Have Children!!

The picture shows three of our four children. You have my permission to cry, faint, and call your preacher. We got our four! These lovely children… and let me tell you that these are the children we’ve been praying, aching, and waiting for… will be officially ours very soon. That’s right, folks. We will be parents. Suddenly, the “family” section of this blog will be booming!
We picked them up yesterday and it has been a whirlwind of organizing, adjusting, laughing, and learning.
I’d write more but I’m exhausted. No one ever mentioned the delightful state of exhaustion that comes with parenting!!
