Wheat Bread with Sunflower Seeds and Pecans

The dough: 6 cups unbleached flour 2 Tbsp honey or agave nectar 1 1/2 Tbsp instant yeast 4 teaspoons ground sea salt 1/3 cup wheat berries (to be ground) 2 2/3 cup warm water 4 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (more, if you would like) Toddler-sized-handful each: pecans and shelled sunflower seeds 4 Tbsp vegetable oil (we used avocado oil but coconut oil or olive oil would work just fine) Place flour, salt, yeast, honey, cocoa powder, sunflower seeds, and oil in a large bowl. ugg outlet france iphone 6 plus cases torras Grind the pecans and wheat berries in a grain mill or powerful blender (food processors and mortar & pestle work, too) and add them to the bowl. The Bread: Allow the loaves to rise until nearly doubled and then bake them in a 400°F oven for 30-40 minutes (or until they make a hollow sound when tapped). chaussure timberland iphone 8 crocodile case For extra crunchy loaves, spray the oven walls with water before you place the loaves in the oven to bake.

Think we simply enjoy the perocss of bread making…..You may wanna try mixing A small ratio of low protein flour to the bread flour in the recipe to create the French bread flour for the crusty effect? I read something like this in one of the books I have. For example, 250g of bread flour convert to 200g bread flour + 50g of cake flour. Hope this work for you. 😉ReplyCancel
