Spring to Life

April 11, 2008|Comments (none)

Spring has sprung and I am loving every minute! More pictures:

I’m off to purchase waterlilies and plants for our pond out front. Josh cleaned it out and it’s looking so beautiful. The comets have all died and we’ve decided to forget the fish and concentrate on the flowers. I’ll post pictures soon.

I spent a great deal of time adding pages of how-to last night (check them out on the right).  There are more to come but that’s all I could manage before falling asleep!

I really am excited to hear about your greatest cooking, sewing, and gardening influence!  (See yesterday’s post for details.)

OMG, Lacy… :::gasp::: These pictures are STUNNING… Spring really HAS come to your part of the world…

As for me, well, as I said, the weather is typical around here. It’s too chilly, right now, for me to get outside for a walk, but that’s probably a good thing, because I do still have a lot of work to do in my little office. It’s time-consuming and labor-intensive, but it’s worth it when I get to see more open space and less clutter. I have my recycling boxes ready to go, too, so when my body tells me it just can’t do anything more, I take them over to the recycling station near our house and empty them. Then, I take some pain medication, sit back on the couch, and relax. :) If I’d been thinking, I’d have taken “before” pictures to show everyone the process from junk room to office; you’d be amazed at how much stuff I managed to get out of the room… LOL :D
Have a great day and a great weekend, my friend. Thanks so much for coming by to visit me. :::hug::: :)

Oh, yes, Lacy, I enjoy your photographs very much. I miss seeing you at Bravenet, but I’ve got this place bookmarked, now, so I can just come straight here. :)
I understand about the camera; I’ve been wanting a video camera for the past few years, now. Considering how often we take day trips and weekend camping trips, and considering how long our summer vacations are, having a video camera just makes way too much sense. I would so love to share these adventures “live” with you and everyone else who comes to visit me. Sometimes, stills just don’t convey what we’re seeing or experiencing.

ooh, Lacy!! How gorgeous!! I need to take a pick of my front corner with my new Japanese maple and spring flowers coming up. They are calling for SNOW this weekend, though!!! AAAUUGGGHHH!!!!
Can’t wait to see the pics of the pond!! FUN!!! I’m hoping to create a fountain of sorts this year- we will see. So focused on Georgie boy right now it’s hard to plan things out too much.
Maybe try Japanese Koi- they might survive better for you.

Hello hello Miss Lacy. :D I hope you are doing well today. Your springy flowers are lovely. :)
I am enjoying your blog very much. :D I just wanted to let you know that I suffer from a form of clinical depression and go through times of not posting on my blog or reading others. It honestly has nothing to do with the person or the blog, just that when depressed, I do much less of everything. I get overwhelmed very easily as well. I am really really glad I found your blog via Shelli and I look forward ‘getting to know you’ in the future. You’re a sweet lady. :) Hugs, Robin

Lacy, I had never seen this page before. Your flowers are lovely. I would love to have a cyclamen out in my garden. I’m too chicken to risk one dying from the cold here.
